The Barber Dime had the same composition as previous dimes, which was 90% silver and 10% copper. Each coin has a standard weight of 2.50 grams or 39 grains and a diameter of 17.9 mm.

Barber Dimes were stuck at Philadelphia, Denver, New Orleans, and San Francisco. The Philadelphia minted coins do not have a mint mark. The remaining mints used mint marks “D”, “O” and “S”. The mint mark location is on the reverse of the coin, below the wreath.
